Hypothetical Nursing Course
This is the first post of my new blog which is designed to be part of my hypothetical course for one of my masters degree courses. The purpose is to maintain the blog as I would be using this venue as a way to teach my students and disseminate information. I have selected Patient Advocacy as the hypothetical course. I feel that often times some of the new graduates I have encountered do not understand the importance of advocating for their patients/clients. I believe that a course such as the one I am proposing would be beneficial. It would be a course in an online forum and would discuss the ethical and legal implications of patient advocacy or lack thereof.

Why not call your Blog "Patient Advocacy"? I like the set up blog--looks good. MAT
ReplyDeleteEducating students to be their patients advocate is a great idea. Students should understand the importance of being an advocate or the voice for each patient and family. You have developed a blog page with a tranquil background, very nice!

Amadine,
ReplyDeleteI preach to my patients and their families that I am their advocate and it is my job and pleasure to fight for them. Many of my patients are shut-ins and I am one of the few contacts they have with the outside world. I have seen many that were lost in the medical maze and I was able to help them navigate to a better health situation.
